According to the scant information available on Pierina, she was deeply spiritual and favored the number 7 in all she did. She had wanted 7 children, but as fate would have it, she had just 1.
When coming up with the emblem for her cards (what we would now call her logo), legends holds that she included 7 aspects in her emblem:
- The main symbol needed to be an eye as she considered herself a "seer" in that she could see patterns in history and the behavior of people which she used to inform her predictions
- She insisted the overall shape of the emblem be that of an eye, and that the eye within the emblem be symmetrical, although eyes never are. This reinforced her dedication to being balanced and rational in her forecasts
- The background of her emblem is the same her godfather used when painting the portrait of her mother
- The letters LV are hidden in the background, just as they are in the Mona Lisa, presumed to stand for Leonardo da Vinci
- Similarly, the number 72 is hidden in the background, just as it is in the Mona Lisa. While there has been great speculation about the meaning of the number, no solid theory has ever come to light
- The center of the eye is the symbol of Florence, the city she loved throughout her life and thought of as her home
- There is an Aetherean symbol that in the image serves as the sun. While Pierina was a member of the Catholic Church, she was also keen on Aetherean studies
